Melissa Greenwood
Melissa is an actor, theatre and screen director, and writer. As an actor, she played Sophia in the BBC’s Sophia and Constance and Kitty in Poirot, with television credits including In Sickness and in Health and Casualty. Theatre work includes Vanity Fair for Cheek by Jowl, Swallows and Amazons for Theatre Clwyd, and a season with Alan Ayckbourn at the Stephen Joseph Theatre. As a director, her work includes the premiere of Daughters of Persia at Kings Place, The Origin of Darwin for Stellar Theatre, created for Christ’s College, Cambridge, and corporate films. She also develops new work and scripts for film and television. In 2025, the Ivy Compton-Burnett Estate commissioned her to write a biography of the novelist, published digitally in 2026. Melissa has led theatre projects in Botswana and Zimbabwe, using drama to support education and social change, and is founder of Melissa Greenwood Coaching.
